In 2008, Stranahan High School was scheduled to get a new school. However, politics changed that plan and the money designated for Stranahan went to Fort Lauderdale High School instead. Now, the Broward School Board has been charged with upgrading the school, especially the cafeteria which was originally built to accommodate 300 elementary students. Our Association Board has been very involved with the planning for this new "upgrade". It seems to be a non-ending struggle to get the School Board to meet the needs of the school and its students. Please get involved! Once the new building is constructed, our community will have to live with it for a very long time.
The School Board holds monthly planning meetings. We need members to turn out for these meetings and show our support for our community High School. We will post meetings and agendas when we receive them. Please plan to attend!
