CITIZEN'S CRIME ALERT OF FORT LAUDERDALE INC announces the following meetings: September 13th - Traffic Homicide Investigator Jill Hirsch, October 11th - Fort Lauderdale Police Chief Frank Adderley, and November 8th - Immigration and Customs Agent Miguel Figueroa who will discuss Smuggling and Human Trafficking.
There will be a Public Open House to review and provide comments regarding the Draft Unified Land Development Regulations (ULDR) Modifications Plan on Wednesday, August 25th from 11am to 7pm. Citizens Crime Alert of Fort Lauderdale Inc announces for June 14th, there will be a briefing on the Citizen's Police academy and the COP program. On July 13th, the theme will be human trafficking. As usual, the time & place is the Cafeteria on the 8th floor of City Hall at 7pm.
Attached is the notice about Fort Lauderdale becoming a Certified Local Government and the upcoming workshop. The workshop will be on Tuesday, June 22nd at 1pm and cover the pros and cons of any change.

Citizen's Crime Alert of Ft Lauderdale meets the second Monday every month at 7pm in the City Hall 8th Floor Cafeteria. For February, Detective Dan Dodd will give a crime prevention presentation. March will have Homeland Security Detective Ivan Doobrow give a presentation on the Police Department's Homeland Security efforts.

The Downtown Development Authority along with the City Of Fort Lauderdale (and other sponsors) are hosting the St Patrick's Day Parade & Festival on Saturday, March 13th. Broward County Transit will hold public meetings to discuss the the results of the Comprehensive Operational Analysis (COA) for service improvements. The meeting for the citizens of Ft Lauderdale will be at the Public Main Library on Wednesday, January 13th, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. See attached flyer for more details.
An ordinance may go before the commission in January which defines how an area can establish a special assessment to move utility lines underground. See attached memo and draft ordinance.
